Go For Positive

The World's First Public Scientific Experiment on the Law of Attraction

What Are You Protecting So Dearly?

Some people, or should I say most people, just play it safe and never take any risks. They act as if they have an empire and they are scared of losing it all. They have a job, a home, a car and maybe a relationship. They will go so far as to spend the next 40 years of their life living under a rock to protect a small handful of things that are common things everyone has.

We’re in 2016, the time for playing it safe is gone long time ago; this is the era of taking risks. Taking a risk is the only way to succeed nowadays. So many people take risks that if you don’t take any you actually end up in disadvantage. You might lose it all by taking a risk, but what did you have to begin with? A car, a house and some money saved up. If your life can be summarized with a few small possessions, your small thinking is what’s keeping you small and you’ll never grow unless you change.

You must realize that what you have is not as precious as you think it is and that even if it was precious, there is a world of wonderful abundance waiting for you that it’s ridiculous to hold on to tiny little things like cars and jobs. The new world is waiting for you to make a choice. Go for big, or stay small. There is no middle point, and in fact, every time you decide you want to be part of the middle class, you are one step closer to staying small.

There is music in each of us, music that wants to be expressed and grow. Don’t keep that music inside. Feed the beast and starve the doubt. We have been conditioned for too long to get a job and settle down with a house. You have great potential in you that needs daily practice and daily stimulation in order to one day get the confidence to accomplish big things. But all efforts are vain unless you consciously decide to make it big. So how should you go about all this? If this is the first time reading this it might be a bit overwhelming, but if you stick with it, it will soon be second nature for you to want and ask for abundance.

Maybe you have $5,000 or $50,000 saved up. Good, invest that in a project or in a business. Don’t keep it in a bank account earning 0.05% interest, what are you thinking? It’s ridiculous tiny money, why are you protecting such a small amount of money? I’m not advocating you go to the casino and to put it all on black, but I am saying that the least you should do is to think about a project to invest 100% of it. You can make that money back any time, and if you don’t, it wasn’t a big amount anyways, so nothing major lost.

There are so many people these days risking it all, that more risky to not risk. Big major companies and millions of entrepreneurs are going all in for new technologies and new ideas, if you don’t invest and risk today, in a few years from now you’ll be part of the people who complain that the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer. The least you want to do it know deep down in your heart that you at least tried. So go ahead, think, plan, and shove all in!

Keep Your Eyes On The Prize

What is your prize? Do you have one? Of course you do! It’s your goal! And I certainly hope by now you have one. Just to recap, this blog is about a scientific approach with the law of attraction. Many say this scientific approach is not necessary because the law of attraction already has been proved by many people with their anecdotal experience of manifesting abundance. Big names like Bob Proctor, Mike Dooley and many others from the movie The Secret. But no one so far, on the entire blogosphere, has done a future projection of a goal. My goal, like shown on one of the first posts of this blog, is to reach $1,000,000.00 in my bank account by January 1st 2018. I’m actually fairly confident I will reach this goal, and even if I don’t, I will at least be closer to it than had I not have that goal.

Just today, someone at work suggested I become an Uber driver. If you never heard about Uber, it’s basically a service that lets anyone with a car to provide taxi-like service for a much lower rate than regular taxis. An average Uber driver makes, , according to my research, approximately $20 an hour. Currently, I’m making $19/hour working 37.5 hours a week. Now this leaves my weekends free where I can drive people around the city of Montreal (a city I know by heart), and make an extra $20 per hour, for an extra 20 hours part time. I will do 10 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday. That’s an extra $400 per week! Uber is almost everywhere now, and you can probably take advantage of this great opportunity as well, but you have to put in the time. It’s also an excellent way to connect with random people. Can you image if I get a passenger who just offers me a million dollars? Haha that would be insane law of attraction.

I’m also not leaving many free hours left now that I’m going to be driving 20 hours every weekend. I will be working in total approximately 60 hours a week. My goal is to crank it up to 90 hours a week. That is the mark where most successful people meet. The 90 hour/week mark. There is no such thing as a get rich quick thing in life. 40 hours will not cut it, nor will 60 hours. 80-90 hours is the range where a lot of successful millionaires are at, even billionaires. You think Donald Trump only works 40 hours in a week? The man pours more than 100 hours easily. Of course he is on TV a lot, but it is considered promotion for him and he actually has to physically be there and focus and talk, thus it is considered work. One day you want to put yourself in a similar position where your work doesn’t demand much physical effort, but until you get there, you must hustle every way you can.

Now I still have to add 30 hours in my week, I blog around 30 min each day, so I want to increase that to 1 hour and it’ll give me 7 extra hours. Now I’m not paid for these hours, at least not now. It would be cool if I one day I have so many visitors that I can profit from my blog, but until that day comes, I have to figure out more ways to reach my million dollar mark. I guess I could take up an evening job, but those pay around $12 an hour, and I don’t want to go down on my hourly wage. My current work also doesn’t allow for overtime, otherwise I’d be all over it right now.

See, it’s nice to celebrate little opportunities you find, but it’s important to keep your eyes on the prize. An extra $400 a week is nice, but it’s not a million dollars. I wonder what is the next opportunity I’ll find. Sooner or later my hours will be filled and I’m going to have to earn more by the hour. I’ll keep you posted!

Is Something In Your Way?

Is Something In Your Way?

When you feel like you are pushing hard at work and at home, and you are not seeing results, it’s time to take a moment and think. “Is there something in my way?”

This “something” can be people you know, or it can simply be a bad habit. Think about the 5 people you spend the most time with. Jim Rohn once said, you’re net worth is the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Now I’m don’t know whether that statement is scientifically true or not, but I can tell you that it seems pretty correct. Think about it, if you were a really wealthy person, would you hang out with the same people as you do now? Probably not. So why not start finding more people who are slightly better off than you? You can do this gradually and eventually you will move your way up to hanging out only with millionaires.

Seeing the same people over and over keeps you in the same cycle of habits, and habits are what ultimately create your lifestyle. So in an ideal world, you would be able to hand pick the people you hang out with and cut off who doesn’t belong there (unless it’s your family). But in reality, it’s a bit different. What I suggest is to do it gradually over long periods of time. Take a moment and think about all the people who you interact with the most, and now make a top 5 of those you spend the most time with. Now make a 6 month plan to change these top 5 people with a new group who are all better than you in someway. Remember it will be a 6 month plan, so you got all the time you need. If there’s a friend you visit every weekend and you just realized that this particular friend is just keeping you in the same old you, an excellent approach would be to start simply visiting him or her once every 2 weeks, and then once every month. Just visit them less and spend less time with them. You don’t need to divorce them, but you do need to keep in mind they could be in your way to achieve your dreams.

Now it’s not always people who are in your way, sometimes it’s just things you are doing. Think about what time you wake up? Your goal every morning should be to rise before the sun. If you can wake up before the sun, that’s a sign you are on the way to success. It’s a wonderful way to start the day, it gives you a feeling you have an edge. Most of the people are so busy counting how many times they press the snooze button when they wake up, that’s just a terrible habit. If you already part of those who don’t need the snooze button and you wake up as soon as your alarm rings, then maybe you can simply start waking up just 30 minutes earlier, it will make a wonderful difference in your life. What can you do with the 30 minutes in the morning, well, you get yourself a nice cup of coffee and you write your goal down and this is a very good time to visualize and THINK about your goal and how you can achieve it, or at least get closer to it one day at a time.

As Earl Nightingale said, “Success is the Progressive realisation of a worthy ideal”. So if you are working on your goal, technically speaking, you are already successful. You just need to add time to the equation for the success to materialize. Don’t worry much about what others think, at least for now. Keep focused on your goal, wake up before the sun and chose carefully the top 5 people your surround yourself with.

How My Investment Are doing

Be An Expert in Your Field

The difference in pay between an amateur and a professional is exponential. Whereas an amateur makes a few thousands of dollars every year, the professional makes millions of dollars. Just think about it in sports, amateur players often don’t even get paid anything at all, and professionals athletes sign multi-million dollar contracts. The same applies to almost any field. An amateur programmer works for a few dollars per hour at a company, while the professional programmer starts his own business and makes millions, and sometimes billions.

Now, knowing this, what should you do? Well, you probably already have a hobby, we all have hobbies. Now try to think, if you were an expert in it, think about the person at the top of the field in your hobby, how much are they getting paid? This is an excellent question to ask yourself to decide if you want to pursue that hobby or decide to leave it all together. If your hobby is to play basketball and you’re 35 years old, it’s probably a good time to drop that hobby. Why? Because there is no way you have enough time for you to be able to develop that hobby into a professional career at 35 years old. This might sound like hard advice, but think about it. Is there nothing else you love to do that at some point could pay you if you became a pro eventually? If so, why not chose that hobby instead. I love to play tennis, but I’m 30 years old now, most professional tennis players retire at this age, so why continue to even play it? Tennis is certainly not the only thing that I love, and there are just so many hours in a day, I’d rather do something eventually could pay me. I’m writing on this blog now, do I love it? Yes. Can it pay me one day? Yes. Voila! I switched from playing tennis 2-3 times a week to blogging. There are some bloggers who make over $100,000 per month, and age doesn’t matter when you blog, and I love it. All the ingredients are there.

We live on an economic planet. You can no longer afford to waste time doing something that at least has a chance to pay you one day. You have to shift your thinking. It’s important. Do you love to play poker? Many poker pros make millions a year, why not buy a book on poker and study the game? There are infinite examples of hobbies that pay (or at least can eventually pay) to chose from, and there are infinite examples on hobbies that don’t pay and never will, which one will you pick?

Begin with The End In Mind

This is straight out of the book, the 7 Habits of Highly Successful People by Stephen Covey. This is such a powerful method. This is a little bit different than visualizing, although there are some similarities. The key is to have a crystal clear image of where you want to be, let’s say 5 years from now. In visualizing, you have to visualize for 10-15 minutes at a time, which is something everyone should be doing. Beginning with the end in mind is to simply have a clear picture of where you will be after you reach your goal. I imagine myself living in a big mansion under the sun near a beach. That’s my end in mind. Now every time I’m not too sure what to do during the day, or I ask myself, “Why am I even doing this?”, I bring that picture in my mind, and instantly I realize there is a clear goal I’m shooting for, and I’m not simply working to survive, but to prosper and eventually have a happy ending (pun intended J ). The thing is, you might be working your ass off to just pay the bills, but that doesn’t mean that it’s your goal and that you have to accept that reality. The real reality is that life is ever changing, and it always tends towards what you think the most. Having a crystal and compelling picture will make you feel good, and in turn it will push you to think more about it than anything else.

Your end image must be fun, exciting and fantastic. You cannot just want money for the sake of money, there’s nothing exciting about that. If you picture yourself in an luxury supercar, that’s already better. The goal already implies money, otherwise how else are you going to afford those commodities? Make sure it’s fun as well, that means you can’t imagine yourself alone in the picture, what fun can you have all by yourself? Happiness, health and wealth. That’s what life is all about. You miss one, you’re screwed. It’s an all or nothing deal. There’s nothing wrong with wanting it all. Just like there’s nothing wrong with the concept of more. More survival, it is your only choice. Wanting it all is the same thing. Your goal happens or it doesn’t. There is no middle point, and for a goal to happen, you’ve got to be excited. So first you need to understand there is a goal or a picture out there that can get you excited, then you decided you will achieve it, then all of sudden you get excited about it, then you decided you MUST get it. You remove anything out of that equation, and you’re stuck. So remember this and stick it in your mind, it’s either going to be all, or nothing. Which one do you want?

Are You Ready to Receive?

Being ready to receive is one of the most important things you have to do. It will multiply your chances of success. How to be ready? Take for example if you want to manifest the person of your dreams into your life. One of the first things to do is start preparing your apartment as if there was someone else in your life. If your bed is large enough, maybe you want to start sleeping more on the right or on the left and prepare the space for this special person. This might sound ridiculous, but I’ve honestly believe it prepares your mind to take small actions in your everyday life. Don’t expect to do that and to find your soul mate in a week, but consider it more as the first of the many step that you need to take. If you’re looking for a partner, you’re going to have to prepare half your bed sooner or later, so why not do it now? You have a positive attitude right? You believe your actions will pay off right? So start preparing now.I currently even have 2 bank accounts, because I’m ready to receive lumps sums of money and I don’t plan on keeping everything into one bank account. You get the idea? You have to let the universe know that you actually believe you’re ready to receive, and the best way to do that is to actually do it

Early to Bed, Early To Rise

Life is filled with little tricks you can use to your advantage and at no cost, to no one. You have to find and take advantage of these tricks to get an edge. Even if everyone use these tricks, you would still have an edge. One of these tricks is to go to bed early, and wake up early. What are you staying so late for? You might say you can’t fall asleep early, but that’s only because you have a habit of staying up late. It might take 3,4 or maybe 5 attempts, but once you get in the habit of going to bed at 10pm, that habit stays with you forever, and that’s a good thing. Unless you made it your way to millions of dollars, this is not the time to party, it’s time to get your game on and start getting a strict sleep schedule.

Sleep is important. When you miss sleep, your entire next day is messed up. Why stay until 1am watching TV when it’s not making you any money anyways. Another great thing about sleeping early is that you are preparing yourself for the next day. You get excited about what’s ahead of you and your plans for the next day. You don’t drag yourself to go to bed, and you don’t drag yourself to get up. It’s a mental thing. To really understand it, you must do it. I used to go to bed at 3am almost every day and woke up at 7am, can you imagine, 4 hours of sleep only going on months on end. I totally shifted that and now go to bed no later than 11pm and wake up no later than 7am, and every night before going to bed, I write my goals down. I keep a legal notepad by my bedside every night, and I wake up to it. It’s just a wonderful way to get your mind refocused, and get a good night sleep.

Try it! Dedicated the next 7 days just to get to bed at 11pm, get ready in bed at 10h30 and start to relax and write your goals down. Whatever day it is today, if it’s Thursday, keep at it till next Thursday. Every morning, take your legal notepad and start writing you goals again. It takes no longer than 2 minutes if you have 3 or 4 juicy goals. You got nothing to lose and everything to gain with this trick. Now don’t get fooled and abandon this if you haven’t hit the jackpot in 7 days, this is simply the time to form the habit so you can keep it for the next coming months and years. Yes, years! But who cares, it’s a fantastic habit and every morning you are ready to attack your day when your alarm rings! No snooze, you’ve gotten 8 hours of sleep and there’s no need for a snooze either. Take the 7 day challenge and if you are not completely sold on this idea, then it’s your choice to keep your old bad habits, but what if it worked! Can you imagine finally solving your sleep pattern for good! Simply one less thing to worry about and one more trick you have to start improving your life!

Fast and Steady

Slow and steady might win the race, but what about fast and steady? Why is it that they often compare slow to steady and fast to crashing? Why is it assumed that when you go fast you crash? I chose to have the best of both worlds. Fast and steady. It sounds like the best combination, and it is possible. How do I know? Well two names come to mind, Elon Musk and Grant Cardone.

Patience is a virtue, but patience has nothing to do with speed. The fact that you have to wait 2 or 3 years to get something doesn’t mean that you have to do it slowly. Why is going fast important? That’s because fast is fun, fast is exciting! You get more done when you go fast, more things move around you. It creates action. You wake up in the morning knowing that by going fast you’re just going to accomplish more and things will happen. Even if the end goal is the same, wouldn’t you want the road to be an adventure instead of a boring routine?

Another important thing to keep in mind is that by going fast you have more chance of actually reaching your goal. How? The more you do, the more events happen around you, the more faith you have that you are actually contributing something to your success. You see, what often happens with goals is that you don’t reach the goal 100%, but you end up better than where you started. But that’s not what we’re after here, we are here to reach the goal, we are here for the slam dunk. If my goal is $1,000,000.00 and I end up with $200,000.00, I won’t be completely satisfied, especially if I know deep down that I didn’t do everything that I could to make my goal come true. You have to feel like you did everything in your power, which is the only way you will not regret it at the end. If you do it half assed, and your goal doesn’t manifest, how will you feel at the end? You will wonder “what if”. Let’s be honest, big goals are most likely not going to happen unless you push really hard. You can’t make millions of dollars by just writing it on a piece of paper. You have to push hard, every day. There are no shortcuts, but having a goal helps. Fast, hard and steady are the key.

What is Your Priority?

It is easy to say what your priorities are, but your actions speak louder than words. You might say it’s your family, money, your future and a million other things, but when you come home and watch TV and spend an hour on Facebook, then believe it or not you are telling the universe that your priority is to TV. Maybe it s sucks but that’s how it works. But really, it doesn’t suck at all, because once your understand the power of habit and of priority, and of course apply it by giving it time and patience, you will realize the truth that every action you take, no matter what the apparent results, drives you towards your goal.

What you really want to do is be able to match the priorities of your heart to match those of your actions. This means removing some nasty habits. Lots of them. Things you are doing on autopilot that you have been doing for years, and for no apparent reason. The real key here is to be able to do them long enough that you are able to witness results, because then it really registers in your mind. When you see a positive result, it release dopamine in your mind, and thus activates the pleasure sensation that you love so much. This registers deeply in your subconscious mind. But you can’t quit after you tried something 3 times and declare it doesn’t work. It takes thousands of iteration, maybe even tens or hundreds of thousands of iteration of the same thing to be able to manifest one result. You may ask, why do so much for so little? That’s because once the result manifest, then your belief begins to grow, and then it doesn’t take much for the belief to grow exponentially. Human beings are drawn naturally towards quick fixes, but it takes intelligence to realize that after too much hype, quick fixes are simply that, hype.

This is one of the reasons reading is so important. When you read Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill, which is in my opinion one of the best books of all time, it constantly emphasizes in your mind that thoughts become things, and it does it with the theme of becoming rich. Reading is an action, and when you constantly repeat the action of reading about riches, you are ‘showing’ the universe what your real priorities are. If you can manage to read a book a week, I think that is when you are giving yourself permission of watching some TV. You are in effect cutting half your TV time and dedicating the other half to personal development. This sends a big wave to the universe, one that will pay you enormous dividends in the years to come. What you read gets registered in the mind in a much more efficient way than watching TV, so even though you might be watching TV as much as reading, your reading time is more powerful and thus brings the most results.

You have to SHOW the Universe what you care about. Do you love your wife and want to spend more time with her? Great, do it! If you say, “ I don’t have time, I got to do this and that’, then unfortunately your wife is no longer your priority as far as the Universe is concerned. If you decide to ditch some friends once in a while, of maybe cut one of your gym sessions in half and just once a week, you are already making huge progress. It takes some big moves, because big moves get your mind working and for optimizing solutions. Once your mind saw the evidence of clearing your schedule  with some easy steps, it will keep running in the background when you are busy doing other things and come and surprise you out of nowhere or another great idea to spend more time with your wife. All of this, as you may have realized, started simply with a king gesture of spending one less hour at the gym per week only, and next thing you know, it multiply.

So remember, MAKE THE MOVE FIRST. Try to understand in a deep level that the actions you take are the real priority. Once you fully understand this concept, your life will return concrete results for demonstrating faith.
